Artist studios, learning centers, summer retreats, supply shops, and workshops—Maine is alive with a vibrant creative economy. Over many years, and from Maine Fiberarts’ Center/Gallery in Topsham, we have directed Maine residents and visitors to studios and farms all over our State. I have lived in Maine since the seventies and am always in awe of its beauty. To me, reverence for the land and the making of craft go hand in hand. Perhaps that’s why I’ve always considered Maine’s fiber community as consisting of not only its artists and craftspeople, but of its farmers and shepherds
